I am a long-time teacher of yoga & meditation. I believe in the power of connection--whether it be people connecting to one another, a group connecting to a new experience, or individuals connecting to new ideas. All connection, along with a healthy dose of curiosity, has the potential to expand what we once believed was possible and therefore to deepen how we experience our lives.
I completed my 200-hour certification through OM Yoga Center in NYC in 2008 under the guidance of Cyndi Lee, Margi Young & Sarah Trelease. There, I also completed prenatal and restorative trainings, plus a 108-hour Anatomy Studies for Yoga Teachers from Jason Ray Brown. I practice regularly with Tias Little of Prajna Yoga, Amy Ippoliti of Vesselify School of Yoga, and the many skilled teachers of Now Yoga. In the summer of 2021, I completed a 500-hour training with Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute in Duluth.
Additionally, I work as an educator in the realm of social justice. Within this work, I have been privileged to facilitate meaningful conversations with middle & high school students, teachers, administrators, parents and community members regarding systems of oppression, the potential harm of stereotypes and numerous other topics as they relate to the prevention of violence.
It is my aim--as a guide and an ally--to assist you in (re)claiming wellness and to perpetuate wellness as it pertains to systems, societies and communities. The innate wisdom of our bodies is waiting to be discovered. Our propensity to connect is ready to shine the light on what is possible.
